Many people know I come from the great land located up north called Canada. We're known for our cold winters and living in igloos. Just to set the records straight, our igloo's are actually quite comfortable, thank you.
A while ago I was asked the question "If you could have been born in any other country, where would it be?". If you asked me years ago I would have said some place such as Japan or England. Those locations are truly magnificent, but I don't think I would have become the same person I am today if I was. Being raised in a place where immigrants were plenty, I was easily exposed to many different cultures and customs. This was the spark that ignited the hunger I now have to explore the world. Growing up with so many different places of the world all in my reach was really a delight, I only recently started understanding just how fortunate I am to be living here.
Although, for me it's not enough. Last week end I went to a local festival called Taste of Asia. It was really a taste all right. Two crowded streets outside the most Asian mall in my town filled with the smells of all sorts of food such as Takoyaki and Smelly Tofu. As hectic as it was, it really enjoyed myself along with my good friends who accompanied me.
This taste was amazing, but its not enough. I want to finish this bowl of culture and try other ones. In other words, I want to travel the world. Explore the great valleys of Japan, the industrial wonders of England, The romance of France and even more.
I recently started watching Culture Japan, a little
show hosted by a man called Danny Choo who explores Japan and its wonders. It really brings a smile to my face. Check him out if the explorer in you get hungry-
